What order should you follow CCNA 1, CCNA 2, and CCNA 3?

A clear guide to progressing through the three foundational CCNA curriculum courses.

Start with CCNA 1

Introduction to Networks covers network models, Ethernet, IP addressing, and initial configurations. It is the recommended starting point for coherent foundations.

Continue with CCNA 2

Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials develops switching, VLAN, routing, and wireless skills. It directly builds on the first course.

Finish with CCNA 3

Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation advances enterprise networking, security, troubleshooting, virtualization, and automation.

Prepare effectively

Practice configurations, document errors, and review previous concepts before each level. Consistency is more valuable than rushing through the material.
